to the Education Student Council Website
Hello, and welcome to the EdSC website!
The EdSC is a student council group of B.Ed. students that serve to represent and support other students during their time in the B.Ed. program.
We work hard to give you additional tools and resources that will help you in your practicum and your classes, and to ensure we organize and execute various initiatives to make your time in the Faculty of Education even better.
The EdSC website is meant to provide students with resources and share announcements for important dates and events in the areas of professional development, wellness, culture and diversity,
and more!

Fall Student Council By-Elections
EdSC hosts an election through UMSU each spring to fill council positions for the upcoming school year. When positions do not get filled in the spring election, the EdSC organizes a fall by-election in order to fill the open positions for the year.
Positions being elected in the by-election include:
- one (1) Early Years Representative
- one (1) Middle Years Representative
- one (1) Senior Years Representative
- one (1) Indigenous Students Representative
- one (1) 2SLGBTQIA+ Representative
- one (1) UMSU Board Member
Important Dates:
By-Election Information Goes Out (via Email) - Thursday, September 14th
By-Election Information Session (Student Council Office, Room 308) - Tuesday, September 19th
Nomination Period - Wednesday, September 20th to Friday, September 22nd
Promotion Period - Tuesday, September 26th to Friday, September 29th
VOTING - Wednesday, October 4th
